Undefeated Album Pre-Release Party

In News by admin

This past Sunday, Family Church had our semi-annual Leadership Rally; a gathering of all of our campuses to celebrate what God has done through our church and what he is continuing to do. These rallies are always great reminders of the unity of our church and our desire to bring the Gospel to the entirety of south Florida. There was another element to this Leadership Rally that made it all the more exciting. Our worship team staged the early release of our newest album, Undefeated. After all the excitement of the rally had concluded, an album release party began in the fellowship hall. This party was the epitome of hype, as there was cake, punch, dancing, and even a short karaoke party with a remix of “Undefeated,” a feature song on the new album. It was a great opportunity to give those who have been a part of the story of our church a first look at what our worship team has been up to. It has been a blast to see this entire album grow through its first stages of writing and now to completion in the release of the album this coming Sunday. We want you to be a part of what God is doing here in south Florida. You can do this by obtaining your very own copy of Undefeated! This album features a variety of music praising God for what he has done here in south Florida and in the lives of Family Church. You can find this album on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, and on site at any Family Church campus. We hope that you become a part of this journey with us. Training the Next Generation of Worship Leaders

In News by admin

The scriptures encourage us to equip the saints for the work of the ministry. As a church that is constantly planting churches, this is not just good advice; it’s a necessity. Here at Family Church, we’ve been empowering our members through our many volunteer platforms, our Residency Program, as well as our Student Internships. Finally, for the first time in our church’s life story, we are offering future worship leaders an opportunity to hone their skills through our brand new initiative called, Launch. Launch is a 12-week coaching program for vocalists and musicians. Every Sunday afternoon, our Launch participants receive biblical teaching and practical training from our Family Church Worship staff. We close our sessions with a worship experience led by our new leaders. Kaleanne, one of the participants in Launch, had this to say, “Launch has been a great experience for me. I’ve loved the opportunity to be able to be poured into by experienced worship leaders at our church.” Keyboardist and vocalist-in-training, Nick said, “Launch, for me, has been life changing. The willingness and the commitment the worship leaders show to God, the church and also their craft has inspired me to rush head first into the path God has laid for me.” The lostness in our region is great. The need for church plants is greater. With Launch, we hope to further the mission of God to make his name known in South Florida. Follow our story with our #LaunchFC hashtag. Family Church Worship Introduces Seth Carter!

In News by admin

Family Church Worship is proud to introduce Seth Carter, who joins our team as the worship pastor for Family Church Gardens. Seth was born in Baton Rouge, LA but spent his formative years growing up in Orlando, FL. Being the son of a pastor, Seth spent a lion’s share of his time inside of the church and serving in various capacities. He began leading worship in his youth group and also was fortunate enough to meet his wife there as well. Over the next decade, Seth and Stephanie served in various capacities at several churches before settling at Harvest Bible Chapel Jupiter where Seth served as worship pastor for 5 years. During this time they were blessed with two sons, Jude and Miles. Both Seth and Stephanie are passionate about pointing the church and a lost world to the sufficiency and supremacy of Jesus Christ and are so excited to be a part of what God is doing at Family Church. Mark Warnock, the administrative pastor for Family Church Worship, is impressed by what he sees. “Seth came to us as a seasoned musician with a pastor’s heart. His theological grounding has already helped impact our team’s thinking, and we’ve come to love and appreciate his serving spirit. We’re blessed to have him at Family Church.”

Family Church Worship Introduces John Stepp!

In News by admin

Family Church Worship is proud to introduce John Stepp, who joins our team as worship pastor for Family Church in the Farms. John is a South Florida native who has lived in Palm Beach County since 1982. He grew up going to Memorial Presbyterian Church, where his father was the pastor for over 30 years. He attended King’s Academy and then Elon University in North Carolina, where he studied Music and Psychology. Since graduating, John has been leading and developing worship ministries and building teams for the last 20 years. His wife, Toi, is a fifth generation Jupiter native. They live in Palm Beach Gardens with their two children, Rigby and Colbie. Aside from music, he loves fishing, scuba diving, BBQ, power tools, and all things football. Christian Ramos, our lead worship pastor, notes, “John is truly a connector. He has a God-given ability to impact people’s lives on and off the stage. You add to that his deep love for God, his incredible musical ability and his vast experience as a worship leader and you have one of the most gifted communicators of God’s word through song. We are truly blessed to have him join our team here at Family Church Worship and look forward to what God will do through him at Family Church in the Farms.”

Family Church Worship Introduces C’jon Armstead

In News by admin

Family Church Worship is proud to introduce C’jon Armstead, who joined our team early this year. This summer, he moved into the role of worship leader for Family Church West, where Tim Akin serves as Campus Pastor. C’jon was born and raised in West Palm Beach. He grew up chasing his dream to be a baseball player like his father, but as time passed he began to see God had other plans for his life. Even while being brought up in a religiously divided home, the Lord has constantly tugged on his heart and was revealing to him what he was called to do. C’jon began playing the piano at 12 years old, and a few years later, leading worship at various churches. C’jon is married to Carleen, who he first met in middle school. They have been married for almost two years and are expecting their first child, Mila in January of 2017. C’jon hopes to bring the passion that the Lord has given him for worship and the Father’s heart to impact his local church and touch the hearts of those who haven’t experienced the love of Jesus. His desire is that through music, he can lead people into authentic worship of Jesus and help them experience the goodness of being in His perfect and Holy presence. “C’jon is a standout vocal talent on our team,” said Mark Warnock, the administrative pastor for Family Church Worship. “More than that, though, he has a strong spiritual presence on the platform, which makes him a very engaging leader. We couldn’t be happier to have him on our team.”
